Mid-Week Bible Study
Bible study takes place each Wednesday at 6:30 PM at the church. Additional study groups are formed from time to time as needed.

Youth Ministries (Jr./Sr. High)
The Youth group meets weekly on Sunday evenings at 6:00 for a well-rounded program based on Acts 2:42 that includes food, Bible teaching, games or recreation, and prayer. Time is subject to change based on activities that are going on.

Special Events Ministries
The church sponsors an annual picnic, other outdoor events, a costume party in late October, music events, dinners, sales and bazaars.

Local Ministries (Mini-Missions)
Working with NETS (Neighbors Eager to Serve), an interchurch ministry that serves western Charles County, the Marbury Church of God collects food items for distribution at Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter, and has established its own emergency food pantry. The church has also established a supportive relationship with Gale-Bailey Elementary School, collecting a variety of supplies for use by the teachers and students at the school. A portion of the missions budget also supports the local work of Habitat for Humanity in Charles County, an organization with which our Pastor has been involved for several years. Some additional ways we are trying to demonstrate the love of Christ beyond our own walls in the community:

Closet of Hope

Launched  August 3 of 2007. Members have collected new or “nearly-new” clothing to be made available to those who may need good clothes for school or work.  Open the first and third Friday of every month, other hours by appointment.  For information or to donate clothing, contact Jennie  at 301-753-5877 or DeLois  at 301-814-0221.

Music Ministry
Rev. Shannon Buehler has been recognized by the church as Minister of Music and Worship, and working with the Credentials Committee of the CDP District of the Church of God, she received her ministerial license in 2005 and was ordained in November of 2006. She leads the choir, and takes her turn also at the piano. Pastor Bob Buehler has also begun to try his hand at choir direction, especially on those Sundays when Shannon is invited to speak elsewhere. Organist Ruth Ann Bicknell Ferrell, drummer Kris Shnayer  and self-taught pianist Dave Knies also add to the musical program for our Sunday worship, which includes a blend of contemporary choruses and choir numbers,- traditional hymns, and the contributions of many talented soloists and others who are willing to contribute their talents to the worship experience. A highlight of our life together also occurs whenever we hear from our Sunday School Choir.
